Commercial Peony Vendors
Peonies can be purchased from many sources. Experience has shown that the best results are obtained by buying from a grower or peony specialist. The roots you get from these people are generally larger, fresher, and true to name, thought mistakes do happen. A reputable source will not hesitate to correct any inadvertent errors they may have made.
The list below is made up of members of the Canadian Peony Society; many are Canadian growers from across the country, USA or international. Most of these growers will ship bare roots in the fall, some may sell potted plants, and others do both. You can access their catalogues by clicking on the site and see what they offer.
Please be aware that ordering roots from outside Canada is governed by law, and a phytosanitary certificate must be purchased so the vendor can ship across international borders. You may also require import licence and inspections. Check before you order. You are responsible for these additional costs to import.
